Serial Experiments Lain

This anime ruined other anime for me for so long. I was enthralled with everything about it and I loved the world it created with its version of the internet. The biggest bonus about Lain for me is that the anime pretty much helped give me something to talk about to the cute girl who became my wife since she shared a similar hair cut to Lain.

If you want to get into this anime, they've got a good upscaled version that is great. It is a somewhat slow and weird anime so it's not for everyone but if you like it, you'll love it.
